Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) intern technicians between July 2026 - January 2027. Interns will participate in our 6-month work and training internship at our Northern Virginia facilities. NOTE: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. This program accommodates concurrent academic studies at Northern Virginia Community College. NOTE: Amazon cannot provide sponsorship now or in the future for these positions. Effective May 15, 2017, logical access to the AWS GovCloud region will be restricted to Amazon employees who are U.S. Citizens (GovCloud may NOT be accessed from outside of the United States) Physical Requirements: Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after-hours support as needed Working in cramped and/or elevated and/or noisy environments Bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday-Friday day shift 6-month program duration (July 2026 - January 2027) Flexible scheduling to accommodate academic commitments Successful completion may lead to full-time employment This position requires on-site presence at one of our Northern Virginia Data Center Locations You will be required to work shift work that may include days/nights/weekends/holidays. Traveling within the regional work area is required. You will be responsible for having a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driveru2019s license to travel within the regional work area, as company transportation will not be provided.
