Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee invoicing and manage aging reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness. u2022 Conduct commercial collections to recover outstanding payments and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Apply cash payments accurately and maintain detailed records of cash activity. u2022 Collaborate with the billing team to streamline processes and ensure compliance with company standards. u2022 Utilize specialized software to manage accounts receivable functions efficiently. u2022 Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries and payment issues. u2022 Monitor and analyze accounts receivable data to identify trends and areas for improvement. u2022 Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures related to accounts receivable. u2022 Provide regular reports on collections, outstanding balances, and cash applications. u2022 Assist in resolving complex billing disputes and escalating issues as needed. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts receivable, including collections and invoicing. u2022 Familiarity with cash applications and billing functions. u2022 Strong understanding of commercial collections processes. u2022 Proficiency in using accounts receivable software and tools. u2022 Excellent analytical skills for managing aging reports and cash activity. u2022 Effective communication skills for client interactions and dispute resolution. u2022 Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Industry experience within a relevant sector is highly desirable.
