Now Hiring: Kettle Operator - Food Manufacturing Location: Santo Schedule: Full-Time | Overtime as Needed Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring a Kettle Operator for a food manufacturing facility in the Santo, Texas area. This is a hands-on production role supporting the cooking process by preparing equipment, verifying ingredients, and ensuring food safety standards are met throughout the operation. Position Overview: The Kettle Operator is responsible for assembling and operating cooking equipment, loading kettles, and assisting the Cook Lead. This role plays a key part in ensuring recipes are followed accurately and that products meet food safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Assemble kettles, pumps, and piping prior to production Frequently lift and load product ingredients (up to 50 lbs) Accurately follow cook directions and batch instructions Verify ingredients before adding to the kettle Operate equipment safely and efficiently during production Assist with product rework in the Packaging Room Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the Kettle Room Support Cook Lead and production team in meeting daily output goals Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMPs, and SSOPs Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications: Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required 1-2 years of food manufacturing or processing experience preferred Required Skills: Ability to read, follow, and comprehend written cook instructions Basic math skills for measurement and ingredient accuracy Team-oriented, dependable, and able to follow direction Understanding of food safety standards, including HACCP, GMPs, and SSOPs Preferred Skills: Previous experience operating kettles or cooking equipment in a food production setting Familiarity with industrial pumps and sanitation procedures Working Conditions: Work environment may be wet, slippery, and humid Temperatures may range from cold to hot depending on production area Requires frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift Overtime may be required during periods of high production demand Apply Today - No Fees for Job Seekers!
