Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. In this role, you will manage various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial processes. You will play a key role in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and supporting overall organizational objectives. Responsibilities: u2022 Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions. u2022 Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. u2022 Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist in month-end closing activities. u2022 Generate financial reports to support decision-making and compliance requirements. u2022 Manage payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations. u2022 Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. u2022 Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve accounting workflows. u2022 Support audits and provide documentation as needed. u2022 Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information and company records. u2022 Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting department. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field. u2022 Proficiency in journal entries and general ledger management. u2022 Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. u2022 Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. u2022 Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. u2022 Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines.
