The ideal candidate will bring academic creativity andpractical insight, contributing to the growth of the Children and FamilyMinistry program through course development, internships oversight,scholarly collaboration, and ministry partnerships.Moody Bible Institute exists to provide a Bible-centered education thatenables students to know Christ and serve Him through His church invocational ministry. The goals of the Undergraduate School of MoodyBible Institute, Moody Theological Seminary, Moody Aviation, and MoodyOnline are to provide an educational experience that challenges studentsintellectually, spiritually, and practically while preparing them foreffective service in local churches, families, and communities. TheInstitute seeks faculty who are committed to the mission of MBI and thepursuit of academic excellence in ministry formation. In addition toteaching excellence, the ideal candidate will demonstrateentrepreneurial initiative in academic and ministry program development,contributing to the growth, scholarly vitality, and wider impact of theChildren and Family Ministry program within the Institute and thebroader ministry context. The faculty member will serve as Program Headfor the Children and Family Ministry major, providing academicleadership and oversight of the program.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals withdisabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.- Prepare syllabi and teach courses in Children and Family Ministry, including biblical foundations, theological principles, and practical strategies for ministry with children, youth, and families.- Design and implement internships, service-learning, and community engagement opportunities for students.- Determine appropriate learning outcomes for each course and assess student achievement in relation to those outcomes.- Teach in multiple modalities, primarily in-person but also online instruction using learning management systems.- Serve as academic advisor to assigned students, providing mentorship in both academic and spiritual development.- Attend field, committee, and faculty meetings as scheduled.- Maintain a regular on-campus presence and hold office hours in accordance with current faculty handbook guidelines.- Collaborate with faculty and leadership to identify opportunities for program growth, scholarly engagement, and ministry partnerships.- Perform other duties as assigned.
