Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Qualified Rigger to support project sites. This role is responsible for assisting site with various tasks throughout the project. The ideal candidate brings industry experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The Qualified Rigger reports to the Site Project Manager and/or Superintendent. Job Functions: + Knowing the proper slings, hitches, and additional rigging equipment to use on each load. + Applying proper rigging on loads. + Give proper ANSI hand or voice signals/commands to Crane Operators. + Assisting the Crane Operators with safely picking, moving, and placing loads throughout project duration. + Performing proper pre-use inspections on all rigging equipment and knowing rejection criteria. + Moves work pieces, tools, and supplies manually by hand and/or truck (50 lbs. max per person). + Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment. Preferred Qualifications: + Minimum of 1 - 2 years of relevant industry experience. + Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written instructions in English. + Reading and comprehension skills in English. + Basic math and measurement skills (E.g., addition, subtraction, diameters). + Proper documented qualification, i.e., NCCER Rigging or equivalent + Knowledge of rigging equipment and inspections. + Knowledge and ability to use proper ANSI hand signals to assist with movement and placement of loads. Physical Requirements: + Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces above- or below-ground level, such as: towers, vessels, scaffolding, excavations, etc. + Able to carry 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials without assistance. + Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
