Shift Worked: Monday, Wednesday- Saturday: 12:00 am - 8:00 am Weekly Hours: 37.5 FLSA Status: Non Exempt Pay range: $25.01 - $25.01 POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance, the custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of the facility and its grounds. Their role plays a vital part in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for clients, staff and visitors. POSITION DUTIES: + Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting + Able to stand, squat, bend and lift 50lbs + Emptying trash and recycling bins + Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and kitchen areas + Sweeping and mopping the dorms + Maintain floors by stripping, waxing, and buffing as needed + Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paperEnsuring the exterior of the facility is clean and presentable + Picking up trash and debris from the grounds + Clearing snow and ice from walkways and entryways during inclement weather + Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor + Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used and stored safely in compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety standards + Assist in conducting routine safety checks, such as ensuring fire exits are clear and equipment is functioning properly + Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners and pressure washer + Assist with minor maintenance tasks assigned. Comfortable using hand tools + Support emergency cleanup efforts in case of spills, leaks, or other unexpected situations + Participate in all trainings as scheduled by the supervisor + Painting and repairs + Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Requirements: + High school diploma or GED preferred + At least one year of custodial or janitorial experience + Ability to speak, write and understand English + Ability to flex schedule as needed + CPR/First Aid Certification (Provided by the Program) + NARCAN (Provided by the program) + Driver's License preferred
