Responsibilities: Support individuals with disabilities in leading self-directed lives and becoming active members of their communities. The oversight of all safety and health considerations Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) Qualifications Personal and/or Professional experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of Home and Community Based Waiver, and the ability to keep up to date pertaining to such knowledge, and interpret same. Understanding of Person Centered Planning. Reasonable flexibility in work hours and ability to respond to the scheduling needs of the individual. Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with program participants, families, staff and community agencies. Ability to communicate both orally and in written form in English.
