Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Carrollton, Texas. This role focuses on managing the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, payment preparation, vendor relations, and compliance with internal controls. This is a Contract to permanent position, providing an excellent opportunity for long-term career growth. Responsibilities: u2022 Review and validate invoices to ensure accuracy, proper coding, and necessary approvals. u2022 Conduct two-way or three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and packing slips. u2022 Investigate and resolve discrepancies in invoices by collaborating with vendors and internal teams. u2022 Accurately record invoices into the financial system, assigning appropriate general ledger accounts and job codes. u2022 Prepare and execute scheduled payment batches, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire payments. u2022 Monitor cash flow and prioritize payments based on vendor terms and discount opportunities. u2022 Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and maintain strong relationships to resolve payment issues. u2022 Reconcile vendor statements and address outstanding invoices or credits. u2022 Generate accounts payable reports, including aging summaries and spending analyses, for management review. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements related to invoice and payment processing. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or accounting roles. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, invoice workflows, and internal controls. u2022 Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions. u2022 Ability to manage high volumes of invoices with accuracy and attention to detail. u2022 Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. u2022 Experience with financial systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Sage is preferred. u2022 Familiarity with three-way matching, job costing, or subcontractor billing is a plus. u2022 Organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
