This role involves mixing, shaping, baking, and decorating various bakery items such as breads, pastries, cookies, and cakes. Bakers ensure consistent product quality, maintains cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, monitors ingredient inventory, and complies with all food safety and sanitation regulations. Job Assignments u00b7 Scaling, proofing, baking, and decorating a variety of products, adhering to established standards and recipes. u00b7 Working with co-workers to ensure product quality and efficient productivity. u00b7 Maintain production and usage records as required. u00b7 Maintain high sanitary, hygienic, and safety standards and conditions. u00b7 General cleaning, other food service duties, and projects as requested by management. Job Requirements u00b7 Minimum 2 years professional bakery experience in a high-volume operation. u00b7 Knowledge of scaling, proofing, shaping, production, and baking of a variety of products, using industrial bakery equipment. u00b7 Must be able follow specific instructions regarding company policies and procedures. u00b7 Knowledge of and experience working with dough in various stages, mixes, bread, and frozen products. u00b7 Experience in following standardized recipes, organizing and maintaining bakery workstations, and knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation techniques. u00b7 Ability to correctly identify product and read production sheets. u00b7 Must be able to prioritize work and execute tasks with speed, efficiency, and accuracy. u00b7 Ability to work independently and part of a team to complete orders and production. u00b7 Must demonstrate excellent customer service. u00b7 Must be able to speak, read, and write English, and have accurate math skills. u00b7 Must maintain professional appearance, demeanor, and hygiene. u00b7 Must have reliable transportation and attendance u00b7 Must pass Baker screening test . Work Environment u00b7 The work environment can be loud and busy. There is exposure to kitchen hazards such as hot surfaces and liquids, sharp knives, and slippery surfaces. u00b7 The position operates in a kitchen environment where the employee is frequently exposed to heat, steam, fire, noise as well as extreme temperatures in coolers and freezers. Physical and Mental Demands u00b7 The position is very active, and the employee must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours. u00b7 The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, stretch, twist, or reach out. u00b7 While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. u00b7 The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. u00b7 The employee must have the ability to use hands to finger, manipulate fingers; and reach with hands and arms, to stir, measure, pour, cut, chop, dice, and decorate, etc. u00b7 The position requires working taste buds, ability to smell, feel with fingers and visually inspect, include close and distance vision. u00b7 The employee must frequently lift and or move up to 50 lbs.
