Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Midland, Texas. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accurate processing and management of invoices, payments, and other financial transactions. This is a Contract to permanent position within the dynamic Oil & Gas - Field Services industry. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and verify invoices to ensure accuracy and proper coding. u2022 Manage data entry tasks, ensuring financial records are up-to-date and error-free. u2022 Handle accounts payable functions, including payment processing and reconciliation. u2022 Operate switchboard systems for phone lines exceeding 31 lines, providing effective communication support. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to address and resolve payment inquiries. u2022 Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions for auditing purposes. u2022 Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. u2022 Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounts payable operations. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations in all transactions. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role. u2022 Proficiency in coding invoices and maintaining accurate financial records. u2022 Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail. u2022 Experience operating switchboards with more than 31 lines. u2022 Familiarity with financial software and tools used in accounts payable processes. u2022 Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders. u2022 Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards. u2022 Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
