For more information on GTS, please visit www.gtsx.com.Serve as primary point of contact for technical issues related to the Data CenterWork quickly and efficiently under pressure and in situations of server/hardware failureRespond to service tickets and requests for assistance in the Data Center in a timely mannerWork closely with the customer and IT team to troubleshoot technical issues and determine the most efficient path to solving the problemMaintain a well-organized, orderly, clean data center and all associated work areasDeal with all hardware associated with the Data Center, including: Rack and stack servers, manage cabling activities, replace network cards, swap hardwareFollow and update standard operating procedures to ensure efficient problem solving 5 + years of Data Center Experience, financial services or telecommunications preferredDegree in relevant computer-related field (EE, CE, CS, Telecommunications etc.)Deploy and manage cabling (copper, twinax, aoc, and fiber) ensuring clean and organized layoutsManage rack-level power distribution and ensure best practices for load balancing and redundancyExperience in dealing with problems at the intersection of hardware and softwareHave foundational networking knowledge and basic commandsDemonstrate working knowledge of Linux systems and basic command line operationsUse cable testing tools and equipment to validate and troubleshoot connectivityCoordinate shipping, receiving, and inventory managementEngage and manage smart hands support as requiredCommunicate clearly and effectively with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholdersUtilize ticket system for tracking, task management, and workflow coordinationStrong attention to detailSafely lift and move equipment up to 50lbsValid driver’s license and car, willingness to travel within the tri-state areaWe'reproud toemploy leadingtalentin the industry and work to ensure our employees enjoy a highquality of life.In accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $115,000 to $150,000.
