This role will be responsible for settingup and operating various welding equipment, handling materials, andensuring welds meet quality standards. This is an excellent opportunityfor welders who take pride in their craftsmanship and are committed tosafety and precision. Shift: 3rd Schedule: Sunday-Thursday Key JobResponsibilities Perform manual and mechanized welding using FCAWprocess in various positions (flat, horizontal, vertical). Read andinterpretwork instructions, drawings, and specificationsto determinewelding requirements. Set up and operatepreheating equipment, weldpositioners, and material handling equipmentsuch as jib hoists, cranes,and forklifts. Position and secure weldments using appropriatehitchingand material handling techniques. Executesingle and multiple pass filletand groove weldsin all positions, including confined spaces and extendedreach areas. Performair carbon arc gouging and post-weld finishingoperationsas required. Inspect completed welds for propersize,appearance, and quality, making necessary repairs as needed. Maintainaclean and organizedwork area while ensuring adherence to safetyprocedures and PPE requirements. Conduct routinemaintenance on weldingequipmentand assist in correcting any identified issues in drawings orprocedures. Qualifications/Requirements High school diploma or GEDandWelding Certification required. Ability to use various weldingtechniques using Flux-Core Arc welding in flat, horizontal and verticalpositions. Experience withcarbon and alloy steelsand various weldingconsumables. Ability to operatematerial handling equipment, includingforklifts, jib hoists, and cranes. Familiarity withoxy-fuel cuttingtorches, air arcing equipment, and fall protection systems. Strongability to work inconfined spaces, awkward positions, and atheightsusing scaffolds, ladders, and man lifts. Knowledge ofweldingparameters, shielding gases, and electrode selectionfor various jointtypes and positions. Commitment to workplacesafety, precision, andcontinuous improvement.
