Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for an experienced individual with a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliations. The role involves ensuring accuracy in financial processes, supporting audits, and managing various accounting functions across multiple departments. Responsibilities: u2022 Support accountants with daily activity and provide guidance as needed. u2022 Prepare and upload reports. u2022 Prepare year-end tax reports. u2022 Handle banking activities, including approving wire payments and troubleshooting financial systems. u2022 Maintain fixed asset schedules, prepare monthly depreciation entries, and reconcile accounts. u2022 Assist in troubleshooting financial statement errors and manage large-scale data projects. u2022 Prepare annual reports and schedules for external auditors. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools. u2022 Strong knowledge of payroll tax deposits and year-end closings. u2022 Experience with automated clearing house (ACH) transactions. u2022 Familiarity with general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliation. u2022 Solid understanding of fixed assets management and monthly reporting. u2022 Ability to handle bank reconciliations and accounts payable processes. u2022 Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
