The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor oversees daily shipping, receiving, and material handing operations. The role ensures the accurate, timely, and safe movement of goods while supervising staff, maintaining inventory integrity, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Primary Duties u00b7 Oversee and coordinate the shipping and receiving processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy. u00b7 Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage. u00b7 Ensure shipments are properly labeled, packaged, documented, and traceable. u00b7 Process receivers, bills of lading, work orders, and shipping documents. u00b7 Work with freight carriers to obtain quotes and schedule outgoing shipments. u00b7 Oversee packaging and processing of small-parcel carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc.). u00b7 Supervise, train, and coach shipping/receiving team members on procedures, safety, and productivity expectations. u00b7 Maintain inventory accuracy by monitoring stock movement and reconciling discrep u00b7 Generate reports on shipments, load counts, and inventory as needed. u00b7 Ensure compliance with OSHA, company policies, and industry regulations u00b7 Maintain a clean and safe working environment, enforcing use of PPE and equipment procedures. u00b7 Implement and support safety initiatives, quality control, and process improvement efforts.
