This position will work closely with members of the IT — Practice Team in supporting BIM and Practice Technology initiatives across the Aviation sector, firm-wide. The Aviation Project Technology Coordinator will be responsible for providing BIM leadership and mentoring to staff of all levels within a project team and will develop strong business relationships and enhance day-to-day operations by being a conscientious, dependable, organized, and detail-oriented team player.Tackle these responsibilities alongside a team of creative, highly motivated individuals who are passionate about their work and ready to collaborate to achieve outstanding results. Work with the Aviation team’s designers throughout the preliminary design, design development, construction documentation, construction administration, and project closeout phases for a wide range of project types, focusing on aviation projects while engaging with other market sectors on initiatives with a firm-wide impactFunction as part of project teams focused on the following tasks, but not limited to:Provide BIM/Revit project kick-off leadership on project execution planning, model setup, and team setup directionManage file transfers to consultant team members, clients, and contractorsSupervise sheet set-up to follow project standardsManage work-sets and overall model setupManage/verify project is following PXP and firm standards for sheet setup, dimensions, and annotation, client standards, etc.Manage model health assessments and clash detection exercisesWork with design consultants and contractor peers to allow the larger team to work successfully in a live/shared model environmentThe Project Technology Coordinator will join our Aviation Team and work closely with the IT — Practice Team to proactively develop and implement best practices and workflows for all Corgan Offices, with a primary focus on Revit, its extensions, and third-party toolsThis position will exhibit leadership in providing technical support, training, and development to all architectural and interior design staff in the Aviation sector.Build on the firm’s standards to develop and maintain tools, families, templates, and processes specific for the Aviation sectorLead integration of Revit products with other applicationsEstablishing and supporting workflows related to:BIMVisualizationReality CaptureConstruction AdministrationComputational DesignContent creation & management for both the Aviation sector and large client programsThis role is an in-office positionArchitecture or Interior Design degree, or relevant AEC industry experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in a professional AEC firm environmentCommunicate effectively, both verbally and in writingA conscientious, dependable, organized, and detail-oriented team playerBIM end-user education experience preferredRequired experience in Autodesk Revit and other Autodesk suite software on large-scale projectsAutodesk Construction Cloud (BIM 360) experience is preferredAutodesk Certified Professional in Revit is encouragedExperience creating computational design-based solutions and/or experience with energy modeling or other sustainable design technologies preferredAdditional experience in any of the following systems preferred: Newforma, Sketchup, Bluebeam, Rhino, Grasshopper, Python, Enscape, Twinmotion, Affinity, and/or Building Analysis toolsThis position is designated as full-time on-site and requires the employee to be physically present at the assigned office location Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
