Description We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team on a contract basis in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for procurement activities, ensuring the acquisition of goods and services aligns with organizational requirements and standards. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage the procurement process for goods and services, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to identify procurement needs and develop effective strategies. u2022 Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, pricing, and reliability. u2022 Monitor supplier performance and build strong relationships to ensure consistent delivery of goods. u2022 Oversee purchasing activities for health information management systems, including EHR platforms and related technologies. u2022 Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and invoices. u2022 Utilize systems such as McKesson, IBM AS/400, and Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) to support procurement operations. u2022 Conduct market research to identify cost-effective and high-quality options. u2022 Maintain detailed records of purchases, contracts, and supplier interactions. u2022 Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably within health information management. u2022 Familiarity with systems such as McKesson, IBM AS/400, and AHLTA. u2022 Strong knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems. u2022 Excellent negotiation and communication skills. u2022 Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance. u2022 Proficiency in managing vendor relationships and contracts. u2022 Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. u2022 Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
