Description We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth. Responsibilities: u2022 Perform month-end close procedures, ensuring accuracy and completing tasks within the close period. u2022 Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining detailed records and supporting documentation. u2022 Reconcile balance sheets and bank accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards. u2022 Assist in the preparation and filing of tax documents, adhering to all regulatory requirements. u2022 Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries. u2022 Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights for budgeting and forecasting. u2022 Utilize Excel extensively for financial reporting and data analysis, working with complex spreadsheets. u2022 Collaborate with the team on general ledger management and ensure proper coding of transactions. u2022 Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including potential software transitions and process optimizations. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 Proven experience in month-end close processes, journal entries, and account reconciliations. u2022 Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to manage complex spreadsheets and formulas. u2022 Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and tax filing requirements. u2022 CPA or MBA is a plus u2022 Previous experience working in manufacturing is a plus. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and maintain accuracy. u2022 Leadership potential demonstrated through project management or team collaboration.
