If this is you, we want YOU on our team You will be a part of highly creative and efficient MEP BIM team, tasked with designing challenging and complex projects with innovative solutions for Amazon owned Data Center facilities. You will provide support to our Central Engineering Team through the preparation of Electrical, telecom and Security BIM models, construction documents and leveraging BIM data. You will influence Data Center design documents for: One-lines, Switchgear, UPS, Panelboards, Transformers, Power, Lighting, Lighting Control Systems, Grounding, Fire Alarm systems, Short Circuit and Arc Flash analysis, Cable tray and Cable pathways for Ethernet and Fiber systems. You will produce, maintain and publish permit Electrical Engineering drawing sets for our fleet of Data Centers. Key job responsibilities Daily responsibilities will include designing the electrical, Telecom. and Security systems of Data Centers, and utilizing Revit to create and maintain BIM models. You should be able to work with support and guidance within a team environment accomplish assigned tasks. This includes working with internal groups as well as external suppliers and consultants u2022 Be self-motivated and work within the MEP group as well as within other teams. u2022 Support in preparing and developing detailed Revit models of Electrical , Telecom. and Security building systems. u2022 Developing & publishing construction documentation for Electrical/Telecom and Security building systems designs in a fast-paced environment to meet scheduled deliverables. u2022 Assist with creating and maintaining BIM templates and enforce BIM standards. u2022 Reviewing consultants Security and ICT models, Ensuring Information Models meet AWS standards and are following the Exchange Information Requirements (EIR). u2022 Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations. u2022 Assist the project team with information exchange processes between internal and external customers. u2022 Recording and reporting of key metrics to management. u2022 Be positive and always offer creative, out of the box solutions. A day in the life As a BIM Designer, you will collaborate across disciplines and teams to refine data center designs. Your work includes creating detailed models, drawings, specification, prototypes, and updating managers and leaders of changes to the building design. You engage in design discussions, review feedback from peers and collaborators, and adjust designs to ensure our data center solutions meet the highest standards of efficiency and quality. Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field - Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment - Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel - Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers - u2022 3+ years of design/engineering of producing construction drawings for mission critical facilities. - u2022 2+ years consistent Revit and AutoCAD experiencePreferred Qualifications- Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region - Knowledge of commercial or industrial power systems or mechanical systems - Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production - Experience using a variety of web-based and other software tools for calculation and data processing Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
