Description We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in manufacturing and cost accounting, along with expertise in financial reporting and month-end closing processes. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to provide analytical insights to enhance financial performance. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. u2022 Manage general ledger reconciliations and maintain compliance with accounting standards. u2022 Prepare and analyze financial statements, offering insights that support strategic decision-making. u2022 Collaborate with auditors during financial statement audits to ensure compliance and accuracy. u2022 Monitor and evaluate costing processes to optimize manufacturing operations. u2022 Develop and implement financial controls to safeguard company assets and improve efficiency. u2022 Analyze financial data and trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved profitability. u2022 Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment on financial objectives and reporting. u2022 Assist in refining financial processes and systems to enhance operational effectiveness. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience u2022 Background in manufacturing and cost accounting is essential. u2022 Proficiency in month-end close and financial reporting processes. u2022 Strong knowledge of general ledger management and financial statement preparation. u2022 Analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable recommendations. u2022 Experience collaborating with auditors during financial audits. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; advanced certifications are a plus.
