Description A growing, full-service law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Partner to lead and further develop a sophisticated litigation practice within a key regional market. This is a leadership-oriented role offering a high degree of autonomy, firmwide support for practice growth, and the ability to shape the future direction of a mature litigation platform. Key Responsibilities + Lead and expand a complex litigation practice with a focus on insurance-related matters and high-exposure disputes + Manage all aspects of litigation, including early case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, coverage analysis, trial preparation, and resolution + Serve as lead counsel in courtroom appearances, depositions, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations + Advise clients on litigation strategy, risk assessment, and coverage interpretation + Handle a diverse and challenging caseload with a high degree of independence + Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and contribute to the professional development of the litigation team + Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic initiatives, practice growth, and operational planning + Remain current on legal developments, industry trends, and best practices affecting litigation and insurance law Requirements Qualifications: u2022 Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. u2022 Admitted to the New York State Bar. u2022 10+ years of litigation experience, with substantial experience in insurance defense and insurance coverage litigation. u2022 Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution. u2022 Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to build and guide a practice team preferred. u2022 Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. u2022 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. u2022 Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Proficiency in legal research tools and technology.
