Job Title

The Process Engineer supports day-to-day foundry operations by improving processes, reducing scrap, and ensuring consistent production of quality castings. This role works closely with production, quality, and sales to troubleshoot issues, support quoting, maintain manufacturing data, and implement practical process improvements across the plant.Compensation: $75,000-$90,000, depending on experience.Develop, evaluate, and improve foundry processes for manufacturing metal castingsIdentify and implement process improvements to increase production efficiency and reduce scrap ratesMaintain and update Bill of Manufacturing data in ERP systemMonitor and analyze production data to ensure processes are within specified parametersDesign injection molds and necessary fixtures for production partsProvide sales with engineering assistance for accurate quotingCollaborate with quality control departments to ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specificationsTroubleshoot and resolve process-related issues in a timely mannerMaintain up-to-date documentation of all process procedures and adjustmentsCoordinate with maintenance teams to ensure proper functioning of foundry equipmentConduct training sessions for foundry staff on new processes and equipmentAssist with ongoing 5S improvements throughout the plantBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (required)Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (required)Experience with metal casting processes and foundry operations (preferred)Familiarity with CAD software and GD&T (SolidWorks preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, PowerPoint); MRP/ERP experience preferredFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or Statistical Process Control (SPC)Ability to interpret and analyze technical data, drawings, and specificationsProficiency in process control tools and techniquesStrong problem-solving skills with attention to detailExcellent organizational and time management skillsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentAbility to travel up to 5% as requiredhttps://www.lamothermic.com/Careers - Lamothermic Corp.Come join a great company where people matter and casting is what we do best.
