A full-time plumber at Six Flags Darien Lake is responsible for maintaining, installing, and repairing plumbing systems across the entire park—including rides, water park, campground, and facilities. This is ayear-round, hands-on skilled trade positionsupporting park operations and guest safety.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, repair, and maintain:Water supply systemsDrainage and wastewater systemsPipes, fixtures, and plumbing equipmentPerformpreventive maintenanceon:Water ridesBoilers, sinks, bathrooms, drainsGrease traps, lift stations, and gas systemsDiagnose and fix issues:Leaks, clogs, pressure problemsPipe damage and system failuresUse tools and techniques such as:Cutting, threading, bending, and welding pipesWorking with materials like steel, plastic, and brassRead and interpret:BlueprintsSchematics and technical manualsMaintain inventory and order parts when neededEnsure all work meets:Plumbing codesHealth and safety regulationsKeep work areas clean and safeInteract with:Staff, supervisors, vendors, and sometimes park guestsRequirements / Qualifications2-4+ years of plumbing experience(Journeyman-level preferred)Knowledge of:Plumbing codesFire systems and water systemsAbility to:Read blueprints and technical documentsTroubleshoot and solve problemsValid driver’s licenseHigh school diploma or equivalentStrong communication and teamwork skillsWork ConditionsFull-time, often40+ hours per week during peak seasonMust be available for:NightsWeekendsHolidaysOutdoor and indoor work across the parkPhysically demanding (lifting, bending, working in tight spaces)
