Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Staff Accountant to join our team in Eastsound, Washington. Responsibilities: u2022 Record, analyze, and report financial transactions using dual-entry accounting software, such as Abila MIP Fund Accounting. u2022 Verify the accuracy of figures, postings, and financial reports, addressing and correcting discrepancies as necessary. u2022 Input donor and service data into customer relationship management systems like Salesforce, ensuring accuracy and completeness. u2022 Manage accounts receivable processes, including cash receipts and journal entries across multiple funds. u2022 Support cash management activities to ensure financial stability and compliance. u2022 Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion. u2022 Participate in annual audit preparations by maintaining organized and accurate documentation. u2022 Create and maintain electronic backups in accordance with established standard operating procedures. u2022 Safeguard sensitive information by adhering to privacy and security protocols. u2022 Contribute to the generation of financial reports and data analysis as required. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 Proficiency in dual-entry accounting software, with experience in Abila MIP Fund Accounting preferred. u2022 Minimum of three years of accounting experience, ideally within a nonprofit or corporate environment. u2022 Strong knowledge of general ledger, journal entries, and accounts receivable processes. u2022 Familiarity with financial audits and year-end closings. u2022 Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. u2022 Experience with Salesforce or similar customer relationship management software is a plus. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and a demonstrated ability to learn new systems quickly.
