Description We are looking for a dedicated Security Analyst II to join our team in either North Carolina, South Carolina, Indiana or Georgia In this role, you will focus on enhancing network security and protecting critical infrastructure. This is a long-term contract position requiring on-site presence four days a week, with one remote workday if desired. Responsibilities: u2022 Configure, manage, and optimize Palo Alto Next Generation Firewalls, including policies, threat prevention profiles, and GlobalProtect software. u2022 Administer and troubleshoot Cisco Firepower devices, including ACLs, VPNs, and security rules. u2022 Review and refine firewall rules regularly to ensure optimal performance and mitigate risks. u2022 Monitor and analyze network security alerts, anomalies, and logs using tools such as Panorama and packet capture utilities. u2022 Investigate and resolve network-based security incidents, working with incident response teams as needed. u2022 Support secure network connectivity across data centers, branch sites, and cloud environments. u2022 Troubleshoot layer 2/3 networking issues affecting security appliances and connectivity. u2022 Assist in deploying secure architectures for new network builds and cloud integrations. u2022 Maintain detailed documentation of firewall configurations, network diagrams, and operational procedures. u2022 Contribute to compliance activities and enforce security standards aligned with industry best practices. Requirements u2022 3-7 years of experience in network security operations or firewall engineering. u2022 Hands-on expertise with Palo Alto Networks products, including PA series, Panorama, and GlobalProtect. u2022 Proficiency in Cisco Firepower technologies and site-to-site VPN configurations. u2022 Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and secure connectivity principles. u2022 Familiarity with monitoring tools and security event correlation techniques. u2022 Ability to troubleshoot complex network and security issues efficiently. u2022 Experience with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and security hardening standards. u2022 Availability for on-call support and adjusted shifts to address critical infrastructure needs.
