Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Cost Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will support various departments, including accounting, warehouse operations, and pricing, while reporting directly to the Controller. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Review and approve daily receiving batches from the warehouse. u2022 Maintain and update the Arizona Daily Receiving Log accurately. u2022 Conduct bi-monthly audits of the Receiving Log and resolve any identified issues. u2022 Organize, image, and archive daily receiving packets for recordkeeping. u2022 Identify and address discrepancies related to receive breaks and claims, including processing adjustments below threshold amounts. u2022 Execute inventory adjustments and validate layer movements after Staff Accountant verification. u2022 Log received samples into the warehouse system and ensure proper documentation. u2022 Process and image transfer invoices for accurate record tracking. u2022 Provide necessary documentation to receivers and assist with related tasks. u2022 Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental objectives. Requirements u2022 High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in accounting is preferred. u2022 Minimum of two years of experience in general accounting or relevant formal education. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. u2022 Accurate data entry skills with 10-key proficiency. u2022 Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies. u2022 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. u2022 Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize in a high-energy environment. u2022 Self-motivated and capable of working independently while meeting deadlines.
