Description A client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in accounting or a related discipline. This position requires sound knowledge of accounts payable (AP), bank reconciliations, debits and credits, and journal entry processes. Key Responsibilities: + Perform ledger reconciliations and manage both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. + Complete regular bank reconciliations and review balance sheet accounts in detail. + Prepare precise journal entries to accurately capture all transactions. + Manage and reconcile inter-company transactions. + Maintain organized and thorough financial records. + Support the development of internal controls, procedures, and financial planning initiatives as needed. + Work collaboratively with team members to achieve department objectives. + Contribute to tax compliance activities and support broader tax strategies. Requirements Qualifications: + Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting or a related field. + Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). + Solid understanding of AP processes, bank reconciliations, debit/credit analysis, and journal entries. + Experience using accounting software platforms. + Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. + Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. + Capacity to manage several projects at once, demonstrating strong organizational skills. + Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
