Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial management and reporting for various projects, with a focus on compliance, profitability analysis, and collaboration with project stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in construction accounting and a proactive approach to optimizing processes and supporting business operations. Responsibilities: u2022 Interpret and analyze project contracts to ensure financial and cost terms are accurately documented and adhered to. u2022 Prepare and update gross margin forecasts and detailed financial projections for effective revenue recognition and performance monitoring. u2022 Develop comprehensive project substantiations, ensuring all costs, markups, and billing align with contractual requirements. u2022 Maintain thorough documentation to support gross margin analysis and financial reporting processes. u2022 Collaborate closely with Project Managers and business leaders to deliver precise budget, forecasting, and performance insights. u2022 Handle third-party project audits by organizing accurate and defensible documentation. u2022 Manage the lien release process by coordinating with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain timely billing and cash flow. u2022 Contribute to process improvement initiatives, focusing on enhancing efficiency within evolving business areas. u2022 Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support organizational goals. The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $105,000.
