Maintenance Technician Job Description This position is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing any facility equipment failures. You will also be involved in construction work, fabrication work, and the installation of equipment within the facility. Responsibilities + Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment failures. + Engage in construction and fabrication work. + Install new equipment within the facility. + Perform mechanical troubleshooting on industrial equipment. + Work on wiring for controls and VFDs. + Read and interpret blueprints. + Conduct electrical and PLC troubleshooting. + Work with pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding. + Maintain and repair motors. Essential Skills + 1+ year of experience in mechanical troubleshooting on industrial equipment. + 1+ year of experience in an industrial maintenance setting. + 1+ year of experience with wiring controls and VFDs. + 1+ year of experience in reading and interpreting blueprints. + Experience in electrical and PLC troubleshooting. + Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics. + Welding skills. + Experience with motors. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with HVAC equipment troubleshooting or forklift repair. + Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems. + Experience with electrical systems and electronic devices. Work Environment This position is located in a food manufacturing facility. The facility is warm in the winter and cool in the summer, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. Specific protocols must be followed daily to ensure the cleanliness of the facility. The work schedule is 1st shift, Monday to Thursday from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, and Fridays from 7 AM to 11 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
