EXAM # 6109 The Office of Chief Medical Examiner investigates cases of persons who die within New York City from criminal violence, by accident, by suicide, suddenly when in apparent health, when unattended by a physician, in a correctional facility or in any suspicious or unusual manner or where an application is made pursuant to law for a permit to cremate a body of a person. The Office of Chief Medical Examiner is seeking qualified candidates to join their Information Security Unit in the Information Technology Division. The candidate will join a team of Engineers who supports 750+ users in nine (9) locations. This position encompasses highly technical responsibilities for the analysis, implementation, troubleshooting, enhancement, maintenance, and security of the OCME network. Duties include but are not limited to: - Administer, Configure, Secure Wireless Phones, Tablets, and devices. - Maintain required patch levels for Workstations, Laptops, and Tablets regularly as dictated in the patching schedule utilizing automation via software or scripting - Safely decommission Workstations, Laptops, and Tablets devices as per NYC guidelines while adhering to security best practices - Troubleshoot and research desktop PC, laptop, laptop hardware, and network related issues - Assist in maintaining security policies and procedures in coordination with DOITT and NYC Cyber Command. - Ensure consistent hands-on and remote support of hardware and user support issues at OCME locations - Provide support for installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment (including but not limited to PC, terminals, printers and scanners) to ensure optimal workstation performance - Responsible for imaging desktop computers - Use the current tools and deployment methods to patch the Windows 11 workstations. supports Internet access, Enterprise Email/Calendaring, Outlook Client compatibility, printer services, supports and maintains user data file services; - Liaise and coordinate with OTI teams as needed - Follow desktop security procedures and zero-day response plans - Manage service delivery performance through SLAs and other key performance metrics - Test, plan and supervise the deployment of new operating system releases, commercial software releases and hardware - Develop and document standardized user processes and procedures and
