Responsibilities Business Risk Specialists are outside sales professionals responsible for generating new commercial insurance sales as well as additional OneGroup product offerings. Build and maintain a growing client roster while meeting sales and service standards with an emphasis placed on the quality of insurance solutions presented to the client.Meet with and regularly and pro-actively review client needsDemonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas an across other company services to provide clients with effective presentations of insurance solutionsUnderstand and ability to sell consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects based on their needs, not on availability of any specific productsUse and maintain prospect and pipeline information within agency CRMDevelop and maintain a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on business owners, direct mail, email, and networkingMaintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activitiesAbility to acquire detailed client information for submission for underwriting, pricing, and presentation and to seamlessly transition new accounts to the client service teamAdhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codesAttend regularly and actively participate in scheduled sales meetings, seminars and events.Pro-actively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments and across all affiliated companies for the purpose of maximizing cross-marketing opportunitiesParticipate in continuing education, self education and credentialingPerform other duties as requiredMaintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner Qualifications To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
