Under direction of the Water Quality Protection District Program Supervisor, this position performs water quality and water supply sampling and community outreach. Qualifications The knowledge, skills, and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to a four (4) year degree in geology, hydrology, hydrogeology, or environmental sciences and one (1) year of experience in the field of hydrology, hydrogeology or environmental sciences preferred. Physical DemandsDuties are generally performed in environments where hazards and discomforts are controlled and modifiable. This position requires the ability to stand, bend at the waist, kneel, reach over the head. Must be able to move or lift documents and materials weighing up to 30 pounds. Position requires knowledge and use of typical office equipment including telephone, copies, fax machines and personal computer. Position requires frequent contact with fellow employees and citizens and regularly travels to sites away from the health department offices.
