LeTriomphe Golf & Country Club is seeking an Agronomy Superintendent Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.General Purpose:Oversees the maintenance and construction of the golf course and ensures that turfgrass is repaired and maintained to established standards. Essential Duties:Prepare and maintain the annual golf course maintenance budget and capital plansPlan, organize, and direct the maintenance and construction of putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkersSupervise the planting and cultural practices involved in growing various turf grasses, trees, and ornamental plantsEnsure that maintenance equipment is properly maintainedProcure supplies and materials within budgetary limitationsMaintain records of annual maintenance activities and costs; prepare reportsImplement sound purchasing procedures utilizing preferred vendors when possibleReconcile and provide timely coding of all invoices, payroll, and other required documentsCoordinate snow removal (depending upon facility location)Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed, including compliance with government regulationsEnsure that they and all associates obtain proper training and/or licenses needed to perform job tasks safely and within city, state, and federal regulations; address all real or perceived environmental concerns directlyEnsure proper mixing, calibration, and application of all chemical/fertilizers used on the courseManage department members that may include, but are not limited to: Assistant Superintendent, 2nd Assistant Superintendent, Head Mechanic, Environmental Technician, Equipment Operator, Foreman, Greenskeeper, and Irrigation TechnicianAssure that effective orientation and training are provided to each new associate; develop ongoing training programsRegular and reliable attendanceIncorporate safe work practices in job performance Education/Experience:Associateu0027s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or three to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree preference in agronomy, horticulture, or plant/soil science.
