Job Title: Dock Worker & Material Handler Semi-Conductor Industries Job Description Join our team as a Dock Worker & Material Handler, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the construction and mechanical installation of a semi-conductor chip manufacturer in Albany, NY. This temporary assignment, anticipated to run until October 2026, requires a detail-oriented individual to manage the movement of materials ranging from small to large sizes. Responsibilities + Perform accurate and efficient unloading and loading of non-heavyweight materials at the dock. + Verify all incoming and outgoing materials against required documentation. + Coordinate and monitor material movement to ensure timely delivery to correct destinations. + Physically transport materials between dock, warehouse, and cleanroom environments as required. + Maintain full material traceability using approved tracking methods, including serial number documentation. + Record all material movements and status changes in the Inventory Tracker within 24 hours. + Manage and organize storage locations to ensure quick access, correct configuration, and contamination-free conditions. + Verify returned tools, kits, and components for completeness and accuracy. + Execute all tasks in compliance with site safety standards, contamination control requirements, and customer-specific Ways of Working (WoW). Essential Skills + 1u20133 years of experience in material handling, dock operations, warehouse, or logistics environments. + Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP. + High attention to detail and organizational skills. + Ability to load, unload, transport, and stage materials safely and accurately. + Experience with inventory management practices and timely updates to tracking systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + A minimum GED or high school is preferred but not required. + Proven ability to work in a cleanroom or controlled-environment setting. + Understanding of workplace safety requirements and compliance with SOPs and customer Ways of Working (WoW). Work Environment The work environment is a clean and climate-controlled newly constructed chip fab. Teams of three, led by one leader, collaborate to complete daily tasks. Shifts are 12 hours with alternating Wednesdays off, requiring flexibility with work hours. There is convenient bus access for commuting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Albany, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.75 - $26.75/hr.
