What Production Operation contributes to Cardinal HealthManufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment. Production Operation operates light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and automation equipment. May set up machining machines and make adjustments and perform maintenance on machines. Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances. Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.Job SummaryThe Manager, Production Operation manages/coordinates teams and processes across multiple manufacturing areas in a temperature-controlled FDA regulated facility. This job plans and prepares manufacturing production schedules and departmental workflows to establish sequence and lead time of each production operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. The Manager, Production Operation ensures safe and compliant operations in assigned area and addresses quality issues as needed.
