We put the unity in 'opportunity.'Opportunity Snapshot:Compensation: $70-75.00/hourLocation: Houston, TX or The Woodlands, TXWork Schedule: 9/80, in office Tues-Thurs.Assignment Duration: TBDBenefits: Comprehensive insurance, 401K, Holidays and PTOReviews and monitors well reports for geographic areaDetermines division of interests, calculates amount of royalties and ensures timely payment of royalties for complex transactionsPerforms deck set-up for operated, payout, and non-operated wellsCalculates and reports ownership interestsEnsures well set-up processes are effectively integrated between Land Operations, Land Administration and AccountingFollows contractual and state statutory payment requirementsRevises working interests and royalty interests based on deeds, assignments, judgments and decreesPerforms ownership changesSets-up and maintains units, including amendments and revisionsAnalyses and interprets leases, division orders, contracts, deeds, title opinions, probate and assignmentsIdentifies and resolves data integrity issuesDetermines and requests documentation needed to cure title obligationsIdentifies and offers alternative solutions to resolve issuesObtains and interprets curative material for resolution of title defects and other issuesInterprets contracts and leases for all properties, identifying and resolving technical, data-related and process/procedural issuesPrepare appropriate forms for disbursement of payments including preparation of division orders, supplemental division orders and transfer ordersIdentifies and offers alternative solutions to effectively resolve issues and deliver improvements to processes and systemsPerform assigned tasksFollow company standards, processes and practices of the Division Order TeamEffectively works across discipline boundaries (e.g. Land Operations, Accounting, Marketing)Communicates with the legal department when necessary7+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s degreeProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and willing to learn other computer applicationsStrong interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbalKnowledge of Quorum Land System/SAP experience a plusAbility to work under deadlines and sometimes on multiple projectsHandle confidential and proprietary company data and informationAbility to work in a fast-paced team environmentKnowledge of basic land principles and their application with the ability to analyze land data for the entry into the land data management systemGeneral understanding of land terminology, contracts and their uses with the ability to work on projects of increased complexity under general directionThe Bergaila Way:The Bergaila Companies is a nationally recognized leader in providing staffing services to all sectors of the energy industry.
