JOB TITLE: Field Technician Location: Secaucus, NJ Pay: $18-$25 an hour Description Field Technicians/Laborers include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs: You will be responsible for the cleaning and decontamination of regulated materials from spills, trenches, drains, oil/water separators, boilers, tanks, and other industrial cleaning applications. Specialized training and certification in hazardous materials handling or a confined entry permit are generally required. May operate earth-moving equipment or trucks. u2022 On Call availability for scheduled rotation and emergencies u2022 Identify, remove, pack, transport, or dispose of hazardous materials, including asbestos, lead-based paint, waste oil, fuel, transmission fluid, radioactive materials, or contaminated soil. u2022 Ability to read and understand OSHA safety regulations and perform all tasks safely. u2022 Maintain up to date training and education for licenses, permits and regulatory information specific to responsibilities u2022 Comply with prescribed safety procedures or federal laws regulating waste disposal methods. u2022 Operate machines or equipment to remove, package, store, or transport loads of waste materials. u2022 Load or unload materials into containers or onto trucks, using hoists or forklifts. u2022 Record numbers of containers stored at disposal sites, specifying amounts or types of equipment or waste disposed. u2022 Clean contaminated equipment or areas for re-use, using detergents or solvents, sandblasters, filter pumps, or steam cleaners. Additional Skills & Qualifications u2022 Valid unrestricted driveru2019s license with an excellent driving record within company standards. u2022 MUST HAVE OSHA 40 Hazwoper Certification u2022 The ability to work weekends and extended hours as needed. u2022 The ability to travel and work at remote sites as needed. u2022 Basic math, mechanical, teamwork and troubleshooting skills are required. u2022 Successful completion of safety, mechanical, Hazmat, equipment and/or equivalent training u2022 Prior construction experience helpful, but not required APPLY TODAY Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Secaucus, NJ.
