In this role, you will deliver highu2011quality training for internal teams and external customers through classroom, virtual, and handsu2011on instruction. A key focus of this positionu2014approximately 25u201330% of your timeu2014will be spent supporting Flowserveu2019s partnership with the pump laboratory at Lamar University. This includes teaching and mentoring students, coordinating activities with faculty and administration, and serving as a visible Flowserve ambassador on campus. The ideal candidate is passionate about technical education, experienced with rotating equipment, and skilled at building positive relationships across diverse groups. Responsibilities: u2022 Support the Flowserveu2011aligned pump laboratory at Lamar University by teaching students, assisting with lab demonstrations, coordinating training sessions, and maintaining strong engagement with faculty and administration. u2022 Represent Flowserve on campus by building relationships, promoting industry knowledge, and supporting student development. u2022 Travel up to 40u201350% to deliver training at various Flowserve and customer sites across the U.S. and Canada. u2022 Deliver technical training on pumps, pump systems, and mechanical seals through inu2011person classes, virtual modules, and handsu2011on workshops. u2022 Facilitate training using materials developed by the Flowserve training development team. u2022 Review and validate draft training content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and realu2011world applicability. u2022 Monitor and track training metrics, participant feedback, and learning outcomes; share insights to support continuous improvement. u2022 Maintain and prepare training equipment, rotating machinery, and workshop tools to ensure readiness for all instructional sessions. u2022 Perform and teach root cause analysis for centrifugal pump and mechanical seal issues. u2022 Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and OSHA regulations in all training and lab environments. u2022 Provide professional, customeru2011focused support to participants, students, and partners. u2022 Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in engineering, industrial technology, or a related field, OR equivalent experience with pumps, mechanical seals, or rotating equipment. u2022 Demonstrated passion for teaching, mentoring, or training diverse groups. u2022 Strong communication skills, including spoken, written, and presentation abilities. u2022 Confident interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport across academic, customer, and internal environments. u2022 Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint. u2022 Understanding of HSE and OSHA requirements. u2022 Ability and willingness to travel up to 40u201350%. Preferred: u2022 Handsu2011on field service experience with pumps, compressors, or mechanical seals. u2022 Mechanical skills such as alignment, assembly/disassembly, rigging, and precision installation. u2022 Experience in troubleshooting, reliability practices, or condition monitoring. u2022 Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation. u2022 Previous experience mentoring students or working within an academic or training partnership. u2022 Strong problemu2011solving and communication skills in fastu2011paced or customeru2011facing environments. u2022 Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
