As a Facilities Maintenance Technician (Building Engineer) , youu2019ll play a key role in keeping airport operations running smoothly by maintaining and repairing a wide range of building systems and industrial equipment. What Youu2019ll Do Youu2019ll work handsu2011on with a variety of airport facility systems, including: + Elevators, conveyor systems, and mechanical equipment + Lighting, communication, and radio systems + Air handling units, HVAC systems, and fire systems + Plumbing, steam fitting, and building infrastructure + PLCu2011based controls, computeru2011controlled systems, and steelu2011frame structures Daily responsibilities include: + Performing maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems + Conducting preventative maintenance to keep equipment running at peak performance + Diagnosing and resolving electrical issues (AC/DC circuits, high voltage up to 480V, high amperage, 400u2011cycle equipment) + Reading wiring schematics and performing industrial wiring independently + Installing and repairing 110/220/480V singleu2011 and multiu2011phase electrical systems + Supporting related building trades such as plumbing, steam fitting, and fire systems What You Bring + Strong knowledge of general building maintenance and electrical troubleshooting + Experience with industrial wiring and the ability to work independently + Ability to perform lowu2011 and highu2011voltage repairs + Experience with air handling units, plumbing, steam fitting, and conveyor systems + Proficiency in electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting + High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent + Valid, clean state driveru2019s license Bonus Skills (Not Required): + Journeyman electrical license + Welding experience + PLC maintenance experience + Ability to climb ladders, walk long distances, and lift moderate weight + At least 24 months of experience in three or more of the following: + Electrical + Structural/Carpentry + HVAC + Mechanical Why Youu2019ll Love Working Here + Guaranteed yearly pay raises for the first 8 years + Competitive benefits package + Strong union representation through the International Brotherhood of Teamsters + Supportive work environment with clear advancement pathways + After a 6u2011month probation period, you can bid into other stations across the network + Work thatu2019s meaningfulu2014your expertise keeps airport operations safe and efficient Work Environment This role involves working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $71802.00 - $71802.00/yr.
