This individual will lead and manage multidisciplinary technical teamsu2014ABAP developers, SAP Integration Suite/PIu2011PO developers, and UI/UX Fiori specialistsu2014ensuring alignment with program requirements, federal standards, and cleanu2011core development principles. This leader combines deep SAP engineering expertise with proven peopleu2011management experience. The role plays a critical part in shaping technical strategy, ensuring highu2011quality deliverables, and enabling an integrated SAP S/4HANA solution across business, functional, and technical domains. This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA, Lebanon, VA, Lafayette, LA or Knoxville, TN; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week. Your future duties and responsibilities: Team Leadership & People Management u2022 Lead, mentor, and manage technical teams across ABAP, Integration Suite, and Fiori/UI disciplines. u2022 Develop staffing plans, conduct performance reviews, and manage team capacity and career growth. u2022 Foster a highu2011performance, collaborative technical culture that supports CGI Federalu2019s delivery model. u2022 Ensure onboarding, team enablement, and continuous learning consistent with SAP S/4HANA and modern development practices. Technical Ownership & Delivery u2022 Oversee development of custom extensions, integrations, and enhancements using S/4HANAu2011aligned tools. u2022 Ensure development follows cleanu2011core principles, aligns with SAPu2019s Activate methodology, and adheres to federal security and compliance requirements. u2022 Conduct reviews of technical specifications, code deliverables, and integration logic. u2022 Coordinate endu2011tou2011end technical defect resolution, performance tuning, and production support. Program & Stakeholder Engagement u2022 Collaborate with functional leads, solution architects, the PMO, and client leadership to align technical delivery with program objectives. u2022 Communicate complex technical concepts to nonu2011technical federal stakeholders clearly and effectively. u2022 Participate in Agile ceremonies and guide teams through backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release planning. Quality, Standards & Governance u2022 Define and enforce development standards across code quality, documentation, design patterns, and DevSecOps processes. u2022 Ensure all custom development complies with federal IT controls, security policies, and audit requirements. u2022 Provide oversight for technical cutover, data conversion tools, integration testing, and regression cycles. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: u2022 Due to contract requirements, U.S. citizenship and successful completion of the CGI background check are required prior to beginning work. In addition, candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance. u2022 At least 8 years of SAP development experience, including ABAP, CDS, OData, workflows, and modern S/4HANA extension models. u2022 5+ years of experience leading SAP technical teams in a complex environment. u2022 Ability to communicate complex technical and business concepts clearly to executives, project teams, and federal stakeholders. u2022 Experience supporting U.S. Federal agencies or regulated publicu2011sector clients. u2022 Handsu2011on understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, Integration Suite/PIu2011PO, ABAP, and Fiori/UI5. u2022 Ability to manage and mentor diverse technical professionals and build cohesive, highu2011performing teams. u2022 Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile or hybridu2011Agile delivery. Desired (nonu2011essential) qualifications: u2022 Prior experience as a Development Manager, Technical Architect, or Director in SAP federal engagements. u2022 Knowledge of federal audit, compliance, accessibility (508), and security standards. u2022 SAP certifications in ABAP, S/4HANA development (RAP/ABAP Cloud), or Integration Suite. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $143,500.00 - $310,700.00.
