Job Summary and Qualifications As an LPN-LVN Extern, you will be a valued part of the nursing team, using your growing skills and hands-on care to help deliver safe, compassionate patient care. Your responsibilities will include: + Assisting patients with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), monitoring vital signs, and supporting patient mobility and comfort + Performing nursing tasks like wound care, catheter management, and non-medicated procedures as your skills develop + Documenting patient information, observations and changes, and communicating important updates promptly to the nursing team + Helping patients and families understand their care plans and preparing them for recovery through clear, compassionate education + Maintaining a clean, safe patient environment by following safety protocols, managing equipment, and responding quickly to patient needs What qualifications you will need: + Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date + Currently enrolled in Practical Nursing program Benefits LewisGale Hospital Montgomery, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
