Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Asheville, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with corporate accounting standards. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and review corporate tax returns ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. u2022 Record financial transactions by creating and verifying journal entries. u2022 Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy. u2022 Analyze and manage debits and credits across accounts. u2022 Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice verification and vendor payments. u2022 Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial reporting and operations. u2022 Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures. u2022 Generate financial reports to support decision-making and strategic planning. u2022 Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly. u2022 Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in corporate tax return preparation and financial reporting. u2022 Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger maintenance. u2022 Familiarity with managing debits, credits, and accounts payable processes. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software and tools. u2022 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. u2022 Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
