Job Description The Director of Queens Street Maintenance will supervise Queens Borough operation and its related improvement programs. The Director will be responsible for the monitoring of productivity of the in-house Resurfacing and Street Maintenance forces and implementing quality assurance programs to enhance productivity goals. The Director of Queens Street Maintenance will also monitor and evaluate the Boroughu2019s infrastructure needs and the planning of the annual resurfacing and capital improvement programs. Duties also include investigating, inspecting and determination of possible solutions to significant street maintenance problems in the Borough; preparation of reports for review by the Executive Director of Operations and Executive Staff Personnel pertaining to work performed by in-house field forces. Monitor, evaluate and prepare reports on the performance of the Capital Milling and Resurfacing crews according to contract specifications and in-house productivity goals. Attend numerous meetings with, and respond to correspondence received from executive staff, citizens, elected officials, community board leaders, and other city agencies. Manage and direct staff of supervisory, professional, technical, administrative and field operations personnel to ensure compliance with programs targets and schedules. A valid New York State Professional Engineer's License and 18 months of supervisory, administrative, managerial or executive experience in civil engineering work related to highway construction or maintenance; or 3.
