Schedule: Mondayu2013Friday Early start (5:00 AM) 50+ hours/week Position Overview IES Commercial is hiring Level 1.5 and Level 2 Cable Technicians to support a large data center project in Reno, NV. Technicians will work in a fastu2011paced commercial construction environment installing and supporting lowu2011voltage structured cabling systems. This is a longu2011term opportunity with strong conversion potential. Pay & Experience Levels: Level 1.5 Cable Technician Pay: $22u2013$23/hr Experience Required: + Minimum 6 months to 1 year of commercial lowu2011voltage cabling experience + Exposure to Cat5/Cat6 cable installation and termination Level 2 Cable Technician Pay: $24u2013$25/hr Experience Required: + 1u20132 years of commercial lowu2011voltage experience (closer to 2 years preferred) + Strong experience terminating, testing, and installing Cat5/Cat6 cabling Key Responsibilities + Install structured cabling systems including Cat5, Cat6, and lowu2011voltage copper + Pull cable through walls, ceilings, and pathways using fish tape and other methods + Install and support cable using Ju2011hooks, Du2011rings, cable tray, bridal rings, and trapeze systems + Build out telecom spaces including racks, patch panels, backboards, and hardware + Perform basic terminations and testing on lowu2011voltage devices + Assist with fireu2011stopping, sleeves, and core penetrations as required + Maintain clean, organized work areas and complete required documentation + Follow all company, customer, and siteu2011specific safety standards Work Environment + Onu2011site at an active data center construction project + Indoor and limited outdoor work depending on task + Secure facility requiring additional BG and drug screening + Work performed prior to HVAC installationu2014limited climate control + Physically demanding role with extensive walking and ladder work Requirements + Commercial lowu2011voltage cabling experience (per level requirements above) + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or at heights + Comfortable working in tight spaces and construction environments + Reliable transportation and strong attendance + OSHA 10 preferred + Steelu2011toe boots required + Basic hand tools required (tool list provided during onboarding) Why IES Commercial + One of the largest telecommunications contractors in the U.S. + Industryu2011leading training and career development + Longu2011term data center and commercial project pipeline + Strong opportunity for contractu2011tou2011hire conversion Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, AZ.
