Job Title

As a Material Handler I, you will be responsible for material receiving, stocking, inventory transfers, and ensuring inventory accuracy. Additionally, you will handle unloading inbound shipments while confirming accuracy, as well as moving materials from the warehouse to the production floor. The Material Handler I is expected to be proactive, capable of performing tasks at a high level with minimum supervision, and able to support pump systems manufacturing operations.Responsible for following all safety activity in compliance with Rain Bird Safety Standards and ProgramsLocate, verify, and supply production with requested materials neededReceive, verify, and document incoming raw material for quantity and ID accuracyResponsible for racking raw materials into warehouse locations and performing all transfers into the systemPerform material handling activities including staging, picking, and transferring materials to production areasResponsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of warehousePerform inventory counts for Cycle Count ProgramPerform warehouse rack audits on an as needed basisAbility to carry up to 35 lbs. by handParticipates in process improvement activitiesHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent Forklift (stand-up/sit-down and/or power carts) certification or ability to obtain certificationMinimum 1 year of warehouse or manufacturing material handling experienceProficient in software programs such as Word and ExcelProven track record with attendance and reliable transportationExcellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and organizational skillsAbility to multi-task and work within deadlinesDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience in barcode scanner system use and implementationKnowledge of inventory management systems and ERP systems (Oracle preferred)Experience in warehousing and/or material planning operationsBilingual (English and Spanish)Rain Bird is an equal opportunity employer.
