Accounts Payable Specialist Private Single-Family Office | Boston, MAWe are partnering with a well-established, Boston-based single-family office to place an Accounts Payable Specialist on their finance and accounting team. This is a close-knit, high-trust environment that values discretion, precision, and people who take pride in doing things right. The team is small by design, collaborative by nature, and the work they do touches meaningful philanthropic and investment operations.Reporting to the VP of Finance and Accounting, the Accounts Payable Specialist plays a hands-on role in keeping the financial operations of a multi-entity organization running smoothly. This is the kind of position where the details matter, the relationships matter, and your reliability is felt across the entire team. This is a full-time, exempt position that reports directly to the VP of Finance and Accounting. Travel is minimal at 0-5%. The role operates on a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the Boston office, with the expectation of additional in-office time during the onboarding period.What You'll DoAccounts PayableProcess vendor invoices, expense reimbursements, and recurring payments accurately and on timeMatch invoices to contracts, approvals, and supporting documentationPrepare and process payments via check, ACH, wire, and credit cardMaintain organized, audit-ready AP recordsVendor & Stakeholder SupportServe as the primary point of contact for vendors on invoicing, payment status, and discrepanciesPartner with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and keep payment workflows running smoothlyCommunicate with professionalism and a genuine service mindsetCompliance & Close SupportUphold internal controls, approval workflows, and confidentiality standardsSupport month-end close activities and assist with audits, tax prep, and financial reviewsSystems & ProcessWork within Sage Intacct (Ignite) to manage AP transactions and vendor recordsIdentify opportunities to improve processes and documentation over timeWhat We're Looking For5+ years of accounts payable experience in a professional, high-trust environment — family office or private office experience is a plus5+ years working with Sage Intacct (Ignite) or a comparable platformAdvanced Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, and reconciliationsStrong grasp of AP best practices, internal controls, and accounting fundamentalsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferredHigh degree of discretion, integrity, and attention to detail — this goes without saying, but it really matters hereClear communicator who is proactive, organized, and follows throughWithin a commutable distance to Boston, MACompensation and Benefits$85,000-$100,000 base salaryGenerous benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirementDM Estate Staffing is a domestic staffing firm headquartered in Silicon Valley, dedicated to connecting exceptional Private Service Professionals with private clients and family offices across the United States.
