Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Bakersfield, California. This position focuses on providing essential support to the Accounts Receivable, General Accounting, and Sales departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, capable of multitasking, and demonstrates professionalism while interacting with colleagues and clients. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage customer collections and ensure timely follow-ups to maintain account accuracy. u2022 Process invoices, sales adjustments, and cash receipts with precision and efficiency. u2022 Balance and post transactions while identifying and resolving any discrepancies. u2022 Collaborate with 12 Accounts Receivable clerks and 30 Sales Representatives to ensure seamless communication. u2022 Provide administrative support to the Accounts Receivable department as needed. u2022 Prepare accurate reports and document discrepancies to maintain transparency. u2022 Uphold professionalism and confidence when addressing concerns or inquiries from the sales team. u2022 Support general accounting functions as required, contributing to departmental goals. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or accounts receivable roles. u2022 Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. u2022 Excellent communication skills to interact with a diverse team of clerks and sales representatives. u2022 Ability to handle challenging situations professionally and maintain composure. u2022 Proficiency in customer service practices and accounts receivable processes. u2022 Experience in balancing accounts and preparing accurate financial reports. u2022 Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
