Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description The warehouse worker receives, stores, and issues materials, equipment, and other items within a stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard, ensuring accurate inventory control and safe, efficient material handling. Responsibilities + Receive incoming stock items, count quantities accurately, and record all data manually or using a computer system. + Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. + Verify inventory records by comparing system data to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or correct errors as needed. + Store items in an orderly, clearly labeled, and easily accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other designated areas. + Label stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment to ensure proper tracking. + Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to support a safe, organized, and compliant work environment. + Keep accurate records of stock usage, damage, and the condition of stock handling equipment. + Examine and inspect stock items for wear, defects, or damage and promptly report issues to supervisors. + Provide assistance, guidance, and support to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers to ensure smooth operations. + Operate forklifts and perform general material handling tasks such as loading, unloading, and moving products as required. Essential Skills + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Solid analytical and problem-solving ability. + Ability to work effectively as a team player while maintaining strong attention to detail. + Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies that support effective security operations and protection of people, data, property, and facilities. + Proficiency in operating a forklift safely and efficiently. + Experience with general labor, material handling, packing, and unloading tasks. + High school diploma or GED. + 2u20134 years of relevant experience, including experience in roles such as Material Handler. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vonore, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
