Description Project Management u2022 Support the Strategic Management Initiative by managing all aspects of the development process: u2022 Package Feasibility. u2022 Packaging outline development. u2022 Component/ Package costing specifications and technical profiles. u2022 Supplier recommendation /selection. u2022 Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA - During Design Direction, Design Turnover and Post Business Award). u2022 Support Line Validation Trials u2022 Manage projects end-to-end to ensure design and construction meets all Estee Lauder engineering requirements. u2022 Develop and implement package test plans for all projects. u2022 Work with Cross Brand Packaging, Manufacturing, Quality and Material Science to define specifications, design criteria and defect ranges to ensure optimal process flow from manufacture of components through filling and assembly. u2022 Develop package specifications and validate that technical drawings clearly identify all aspects required to define the package. u2022 Ensure all projects are completed and meet the intended design, quality, cost, functionality, and manufacturability objectives. u2022 Ensure that packages/components meet the needs of the Brand, corporation, Regulatory and Environmental Legislation, and consumer safety. u2022 Keep informed through colleagues, vendors, journals, professional affiliations, and seminars of new materials, processes, and procedures. u2022 Develop detailed component timelines including all package development tasks and manage them. Communication Proficiency u2022 Communicate package development schedules and proactively identify risks or mitigation strategies to ensure component availability requirements are met. u2022 Clearly identify and inform cross-functional partners of any risks or delays encountered during the development process. u2022 Establish and communicate workload priorities to ensure all projects are managed and delivered within expected due dates. u2022 Communicate and work closely with all development groups, including Marketing, Product Development, R&D, Package Design, and End-to-End Engineering, to ensure alignment and clarity throughout the project lifecycle. u2022 Clearly document and communicate technical information, ensuring all stakeholders understand requirements, timelines, and deliverables. u2022 Work effectively with team members at all levels, providing necessary support and tools to direct reports and fostering open communication within the group. u2022 Assess your audience to determine the appropriate depth for technical discussions. u2022 Support Brand Value Chain (BVC) and Global Supplier Management (GSM) with package development schedules and identify risks or ways to mitigate risks to support a component availability requirement. u2022 Identify and inform BVC and GSM of any risks and or delays during the course of development. u2022 Establish workload priorities to ensure all projects are managed within expected due dates. Direct and Indirect Management u2022 Manage direct reports ensuring they are provided the necessary support and tools to succeed on the assigned task or project. u2022 Communicate and work closely with all development groups including Marketing, Product Development, R&D, Package Design and End to End Engineering. u2022 Work with the Outline and Artwork Management teams to generate outlines efficiently and process artwork correctly and effectively. u2022 Work with BVC and GSM to manage specific project development and provide detail analysis on risk when required. u2022 Build and cultivate relationships with the cross functional Value Chain team (Global Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, Quality). Qualifications Education / Certification u2022 Minimum BS degree in Packaging Science or related Engineering field. Direct Experience u2022 7+ yearsu2019 experience in cosmetic package development. u2022 Concentrated experience in prestige beauty industry with proven development experience in fragrance, color and/or skin care categories u2022 Proficiency in computer systems including Unique Package Definition Systems, MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Timeline management systems.
