About the role As a Sr. Automation Test Engineer u2013 Playwright with Typescript, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and optimizing automated testing solutions that ensure quality, reliability, and scalability across enterprise technology platforms. You will be a valued member of a cross functional engineering team and collaborate closely with developers, QA, and platform stakeholders to deliver high quality software outcomes. ________________________________________ In this role, you will: u2022 Develop and maintain robust automated test frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript u2022 Design, develop, and implement scalable automation solutions to improve test coverage and efficiency u2022 Write and execute simple to medium SQL queries to validate data accuracy and integrity u2022 Analyze, debug, and troubleshoot automated test failures, identifying root causes and recommending solutions u2022 Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand enterprise technology stacks and testing requirements u2022 Participate in code reviews, providing feedback to improve code quality, maintainability, and testability u2022 Continuously improve automation tools, processes, and best practices to enhance overall testing effectiveness ________________________________________ Work model At Cognizant, we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible and support a healthy work life balance through our wellbeing programs. Rest assured, we will always be clear about role expectations. ________________________________________ What you need to have to be considered u2022 5u20137 years of experience in a test automation development role using Playwright and TypeScript u2022 Strong experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks for enterprise applications u2022 Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and integrity checks u2022 Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar u2022 Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) u2022 Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative development practices u2022 Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast paced team environment u2022 Strong communication and collaboration skills ________________________________________ These will help you stand out u2022 Experience using GitHub Copilot within Visual Studio Code u2022 Understanding of prompt and context engineering concepts u2022 Exposure to multiple AI interaction modes such as plan, agent, and ask u2022 Experience optimizing test automation strategies for large scale enterprise platforms u2022 Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
